Recipient Org: Description Self Injury Support is an experience-led charity providing support for and improving knowledge about self-harm. We exist to make care accessible and relevant for all who experience self-harm. We are the only Bristol organisation dedicated to offering direct support to people affected by self-harm. We also provide the only self-harm helpline for women and girls. Our vision is that anybody who uses self-harm knows they are not alone; that everybody understands self-harm and self-injury are complex and important issues that we should all care about; and that together we can tackle both the causes and stigma. We do this through:  A UK wide multi-channel listening service to women and girls affected by self-harm, trauma and abuse.  Self-help tools and resources to encourage people to move from self-harm to self-care.  Training and consultancy to upskill healthcare, education and social care workers, and promote better models of support for people affected by self-harm.  An information service providing tailored advice and navigation to help individuals manage some of the root causes of their self-harm, such as money worries or abuse at home.  Collaboration with other organisations and research bodies to ensure self-harm services are based on what works.
