Recipient Org: Description To Develop and protect affordable homes for disadvantaged local people. The first project of Clevedon and District Community Land Trust Limited (C&DCLT) will be to lead a development of up to 20 homes that will be affordable to local people on low to average incomes. The land will be owned by C&DCLT, and in accordance with our constitution, it can only ever be used for the benefit of the Town. Shortly, we will opening membership of the C&DCLT to all residents of Clevedon. The construction and operation of the homes will be carried out by a Housing Association, which is yet to be selected. The C&DCLT will grant a lease to the Housing Association. We enjoy the full support of both Clevedon Town Council and North Somerset District Council in our objectives and both organisations are represented in our committee structure.
