Recipient Org: Description Julian House was founded in response to street homelessness in the city of Bath in 1987. We now work more widely across the South-West region and support anyone who experiences social exclusion. Over the past 30+ years we have developed a range of services - more than 40 - which address homelessness and its causes to help vulnerable people build sustainable, independent lives. In 2021-2022, we supported 1,678 individuals across all our services. Our projects support those escaping domestic abuse, addiction and persecution; we manage a range of supported housing provision for those at risk of harm or homelessness including ex-offenders, people with mental health issues and/or learning difficulties. We undertake extensive outreach for those who are street homeless, to Traveller communities and have been working with refugees for 5 years in B&NEs on the Syrian Vulnerable People's Resettlement Scheme (VPRS). Since April 2022 Julian House has been working to support households arriving in South Gloucestershire under the Homes for Ukraine scheme, and we are currently the Lead Provider supporting c. 60 adults and children in partnership with ACH and The Care Forum, supporting nearly 400 people in total. This is ever increasing as we work together to embrace refugees in South Gloucestershire and ensure full integration. In addition, we support 8 families under the VPRS scheme in South Gloucestershire and from 1st January 2023 will be supporting Afghan families under a local contract commissioned by South Gloucestershire Council.
