Recipient Org: Description Missing Link Mental Health Services, Next Link Domestic Abuse Services and Safe Link Rape and Sexual Abuse Services deliver value led, trauma informed services locally that have an holistic approach, offer best value and are well respected across the Mental Health and Domestic and Sexual Abuse fields. Since 2009 our Avon and Somerset Safe Link ISVA service supports victims of rape and sexual abuse, providing: independent advice and guidance around the police process; help with access to counselling, sexual health, community and other support services; contact with GP, employer, school or college and police officer; promoting and raising awareness of Rape and Sexual Abuse; support through the court process; peer support; dedicated ISVAs for Children and Young People, Adults, Learning Difficulties, Male, Mental Health, BAME, LGBQT+ support, survivors of historic abuse; ISVAs working with Operation Bluestone. Safe Link has 27 staff, including a dedicated team of 6 children and young people’s specialist ISVAs, one post working closely with Avon and Somerset Police Operation Bluestone. Safe Link supported 390 CYP last year (triage and full service) and 1,330 adults. Our Learning Disabilities ISVA supported 24 people and 63 victims went to peer support. We won the National Lime Light INNOVATION awarded by Lime Culture for our ISVA service. Next Link was awarded funding from Home Office in 2021 to support Children Affected by Domestic Abuse in Bristol, which includes prevention work through the delivery of healthy relationships, safety and resolving conflict workshops to primary schools and in addition coercive controlling behaviour workshops to secondary schools, being evaluated by University of Central Lancashire. We support victims of crime across Missing Link and Next Link services in the BNSSG area, recently commissioned to deliver Next Link Plus partnership in Bristol and South Glos. We target 'Reaching Out' support for victims in rural areas.
