Grant to British Red Cross (360G-QuartetCF-A690457)

£105

As directed by the donor towards the work of the British Red Cross. The British Red Cross helps people in crisis, whoever and wherever they are. We are part of a global network of volunteers, responding to natural disasters, conflicts and individual emergencies. We enable vulnerable people at home and overseas to prepare for and respond to emergencies in their own communities. And when the crisis is over, we help people to recover and move on with their lives.

Recipient Org: Description Our mission at the British Red Cross is to mobilise the power of humanity so that individuals have the capacity to prepare for, deal with and recover from crisis. Since 1870 we have been helping people who need it most, no matter who or where they are. In the UK we provide patient transport and at home support alongside the NHS and other partners, offer lifesaving First Aid training, aid in community resilience and crisis response alongside the emergency services and are a major provider of refugee and asylum seeker support. Our current UK strategy focuses on three areas we believe we can make the most difference: disasters and emergencies, health inequalities, and displacement and migration. By 2030 we aim to ensure people are safe and able to survive and recover whenever disaster strikes, that people in the UK receive the care and support they need without falling through gaps in the health system and that people experiencing displacement feel safe, live with dignity and have choice and opportunity on their journey.
