Recipient Org: Description We are a Down Syndrome support charity covering North Somerset, Bristol, Somerset, Devon, Dorset and Wiltshire. We support children and young people who have Down Syndrome and the families, carers and professionals involved in their care and education. This work is delivered by our qualified workers services include face to face family support, youth clubs, school liaison service and a post 16 service. In addition we offer training, information and advice to all professionals across he health, education and social care sector, Our overall aim through this work is to support every child and young person with Down Syndrome to ensure they enjoy a secure, informed environment that meets their emotional, social and educational needs. Our beneficiaries are engaged at all levels of our work from regular feedback questionnaires, to direct event evaluation feedback and monthly analysis of need and common themes, and at the staff level two staff have lived experience as carers or parents with a child who has Down Syndrome as is our Chair of Trustees Louise Bliss.
