| Recipient Org: Description | Here at Unique Voice, we believe that social and emotional education is the most important learning that children and young people can receive. We want to enable young people to thrive with the resilience to overcome adversity, the confidence to make positive decisions, and a strong moral compass to guide them on their journey through life. We are based in Bristol with our work reaching across the South West. Our work is trauma-informed, creative, inclusive and designed to enable participants to learn through many important social and emotional education topics. Importantly, we use a wide variety of creative methods in our work such as drama, poetry, music and art. We deliver our work in schools and the community, and have an outstanding reputation for achieving positive social impact. We run wrap around care, holiday provision and family stay and play sessions for the community across Bristol. Over the past 12 months we have been able to deliver; - Fully funded holiday provision (HAF) in priority areas in Bristol, offering 1,700 spaces for children and young people in receipt of free school meals across the spring, summer and winter school holiday periods - Achieved funding to provide 420 spaces at creative sessions for families with children who have SEND - 10 Stay and Play sessions, offering 200 spaces for sanctuary seeking families. - Approximately 2000 creative activity packs (some that include food parcels) for families who are affected by cost-of-living crisis and other challenges |
