Leyton Orient Seniors Lounge (360G-SE-2024012873_2025-01-15)

This project will deliver weekly activity sessions for adults 50+ that will involve strength & coordination training, physical activity, socializing and healthy lifestyle based interventions. The programme of delivery will include low impact activity, walking, chair-based exercise, yoga, tai chi, dance, boccia, chess, bowls and table tennis. Delivery will also include monthly health workshops, social activity computer sessions, arts and crafts, and music groups will be invited to provide opportunities for participation. Funding will contribute towards staff costs, workshop costs, refreshments, promotion publicity, equipment purchases and facility hire. A total of 35 sessions will be delivered and 7 additional workshops will also be delivered. The project is seeking to benefit 175 participants.
